We’re looking for a Head of Brand Marketing who will lead the charge as we turn our brands into household names. The right candidate is a passionate builder, a problem solver, a big thinker, and someone who has a pulse for how brands win their way into not only the culture zeitgeist, but the hearts and minds of customers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the identity development and storytelling behind our brands, with a primary focus on our flagship brand, moonbowls.

• Ensure the consistency of our brand messaging and value proposition across all customer touchpoints.

• Work closely with the CEO and R&D team to guide our culinary roadmap from a brand and market opportunity perspective (eg, How do we best reflect our brand values in our culinary offerings? What are the culinary and cultural trends that map to our brand values and should be on our roadmap?)

• Develop and manage a holistic strategy for introducing our brands into new markets, including social media and community outreach.

• Develop high ROI opportunities to collaborate with digital influencers and build community engagement.

• Direct the editorial strategy across all brand channels, creating a cohesive narrative that boosts community interaction and achieves sales targets. (You will collaborate with a marketing team that is responsible for the actual deployment and management of our lifecycle marketing campaigns across email and text channels.)

• Oversee the external brand communications strategy, shaping public perception with general and targeted media outlets

• Develop and manage a program of focus groups such that we are talking to our customers regularly and incorporating their feedback into brand and culinary roadmaps.

• Partner directly with the CEO on high-level strategic planning and thought leadership initiatives.

Requirements:

• Track record of making brands pop.

• Builder mentality with a deep passion for storytelling.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

• Deep understanding of customer behavior, cultural trends, and storytelling across paid, owned, and earned channels.

• Demonstrated success launching breakthrough campaigns, driving revenue growth, and building brand equity.

• Experience managing teams and working collaboratively across an organization.

• Experience working at a high growth company is a big plus.

• Based in LA area (or willing to relocate).

Salary Range:

$150k-$220k

Salted is the largest delivery-first restaurant group in the US, operating a portfolio of 6-8 better-for-you, company-owned brands out of each of our 35+ locations. While the majority of our locations are inside cloud kitchen environments, we are opening a growing number of freestanding storefronts that we call "self-processing" locations. Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar restaurants, these locations are optimized from Day Zero for delivery and take out (small front-of-house, limited to no dine-in seating, multiple brands), resulting in uniquely positive - and profitable - customer experiences.

We’re looking for a Real Estate Development Manager who will lead the charge in identifying new self-processing locations across the country and overseeing their development from start to finish. The right candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, a creative thinker, and passionate about being a part of a company that is reshaping the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities:

• Identify potential locations across the US based upon market research and analysis

• Act as a central point of contact for third-party consultants, architects, and designers.

• Collaborate with CEO and legal to negotiate and secure favorable terms with Landlords and various vendors.

• Cultivate and direct key broker relationships, guiding them on site prioritization and negotiation strategies while tracking pipeline progress

• Manage the submission and retrieval of project plans and permits at various local departments, as needed

• Keep expansion on track by helping build and manage overall project schedules, budgets, and financing structures.

• Coordinate between external vendors and internal teams (Finance, Operations, Accounting, Supply Chain, etc) to ensure seamless openings of new locations and that all parties are aware of timelines

• Bridge the gap between real estate, executive vision, and daily operations, turning performance data and field insights into strategic adjustments for how current and future locations operate. We want you to feel invested in the long-term success of these locations!

• Serve as the central point of contact for Landlords on an ongoing basis

• As needed, assist internal teams, especially Operations, with various real estate needs for our cloud kitchen locations (ie, our locations that are not "self-processing"). This might entail stepping up to help with equipment purchasing, project management, and coordination with cloud kitchen facility managers.

• Partner directly with the CEO on strategic real estate planning

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years real estate development experience - restaurant industry preferred

• A blend of analytical mindset, creative thinking, and operational grit. You are the type of person who does what it takes to reach the finish line.

• Excellent organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines

• A belief (and practice) in the value of getting even the smallest details right

• Team player. You look for ways to add value outside your job description.

• Experience working collaboratively across an organization

• Experience working at a high-growth company is a big plus

• Flexibility for travel 1-2x per month.

We’re looking for a VP Culinary to lead our culinary strategy as we embark on our next stage of growth and expand from 35 locations to over 100+ over the next 3 years. WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will be the leader of our culinary strategy across our multi-brand portfolio (with a primary focus on our flagship brand, moonbowls). As our culinary leader, you will balance creativity with a systematic approach to creating consistent, profitable, and most importantly, uniquely positive customer experiences. This role reports directly to our CEO and initially will manage a team of two (Culinary Director + R&D Chef).

Responsibilities include:

• Define and execute a cohesive culinary roadmap that aligns with Salted’s brand positioning (better-for-you, clean label, unique + craveable) and long-term business goals (100+ locations, highly profitable, the gold standard in digital-first)

• Maximize the culinary offerings of our core brand menus as we turn these brands into household names

• Lead the R&D pipeline for both new brands as well as our core brands (every month, we test 1-2 new brands out of our Test Kitchen)

• Develop and execute an LTO strategy that balances culinary innovation with the constraints (and benefits) of our small, extremely high volume footprints

• Use data to optimize our product mix for financial results as well as customer frequency

• Serve as the culinary voice to our partners and executive team, presenting compelling, data-backed menu strategies that drive growth

• Research and stay current with supplier opportunities to reduce costs and improve quality of ingredients

• Collaborate with Ops to establish and enforce elite standards for prep, presentation, and safety (HACCP)

• Partner with Marketing, Ops, and Tech teams to ensure new launches are promoted effectively and executed flawlessly in every kitchen

• Lead your team with candor and directness

• Stay obsessed with the customer experience. Identify unmet needs and emerging trends to keep Salted ahead of the curve in a fast-changing industry.

WHO YOU ARE

The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, has a deep understanding for the complexities of scaling quality and consistency across nation-wide locations, and has an unquenchable thirst to create food that impacts millions of people’s lives.

• 10+ years experience working in the QSR or fast food industry in a culinary role

• Deep understanding for how to ensure culinary consistency at national scale

• Able to translate customer ratings, PMIX, and COGs data into actionable menu improvements

• Test-and-learn oriented mindset

• Effective planner who cares deeply about the details as well as the big picture strategy

• Knowledge of HACCP, SOP’s, and government/industry food safety and quality regulations, codes, and standards

• Proven ability to collaborate with other departments, proactively identify problems/opportunities, and take ownership of deadlines and deliverables

• Must be based in the Los Angeles area with some flexibility to travel to kitchens around the US
